Sana’a, the capital of Yemen, has for many centuries been the chief economic, political, and religious center of the country. According to legend, Yemen was founded by Shem, one of the three sons of Noah. Today, Yemen is home to the world’s worst humanitarian crisis after a brutal civil war started 6 years ago.
Currently, over twenty million people in Yemen rely on some form of humanitarian aid for their survival. The global church must stand in this hour for Yemen and believe that the country can receive a flood-like baptism of God’s mercy and grace, transforming the nation through the love of Jesus. Watch a prayer video from a Yemeni believer here and pray along with him!
PRAY for healing, and restoration to come to the nation as churches are planted among the Northern Yemini Arabs, Southern Yemeni Arabs, and the Sudanese Arabs.
PRAY for a mighty movement of prayer to sweep over Christians everywhere to lift up this war-torn city, Sana’a.
PRAY that the Lord would have mercy on the city and bring an end to the civil war wracking the nation.
