Global Volunteer
We can create a customized Global Volunteer placement/opportunity for you
You can serve for a few weeks, several months or a year. Global Volunteer opportunities are flexible and tailored to your skills, interests and areas of the world you want to serve. You will partner with local hosts to strengthen and expand ongoing mission efforts. Hundreds of Global Volunteers have had the opportunity to serve in dynamic ministry contexts with experienced mentors. Engage in teaching and discipleship, youth ministry, business for transformation, administration and logistics, construction projects, community development and much more. As a Global Volunteer, you will have the flexibility to serve once or return multiple times. These aren’t just experiences; for some, they became the launchpad to long-term service overseas.
Ideal for:
- Students doing gap year or internship
- Retirees eager to make a meaningful impact through cross-cultural service
- Professionals offering expertise in practical and impactful ways
- Educators passionate about equipping emerging leaders overseas
- Pastors desiring purposeful short-term service in global contexts
- Individuals or families exploring a possible long-term call to global mission
Global Professional
Your career is your calling
As a Global Professional, you can use your skills in business, education, healthcare, engineering, or technology to open doors for Gospel witness in unreached communities.
If you have a vision to see the Gospel spread in hard-to-reach places, consider taking your profession abroad or launching a business overseas. We’ll support you with strategic placements, ministry leadership, and a missional community.
Integrate your faith and work—serve with purpose, live missionally, and make Christ known through your everyday life and witness.
We are looking for individuals who:
- Can secure international employment or launch a business overseas
- Are passionate about seeing the Gospel shared in least reached communities
- Naturally build relationships and disciple others in the workplace
- Thrive in collaboration with other global workers and local ministry teams
Global Worker
You were made for this!
Something powerful happens when you move beyond short-term service and choose to make a new place your home. You’re no longer just a visitor—you become part of the community. That’s why long-term global workers are the foundation of ministry that not only proclaims the Gospel but sees it take root and transform lives. If God is calling you to this kind of work, we’re here to help you take the next step.
Global Workers are visionary leaders living with intentionality in a host culture, purposefully making disciples who make disciples through creative and varied approaches. We believe that incarnational living in a cross-cultural context over the long-term makes the most significant Kingdom impact.
Mission Global sends Canadians to the Least Reached (people with little or no access to the Gospel) and to the Most Vulnerable (those without access to the basic necessities of life). We’ll support you with strategic placements, ministry leadership, and a missional community.
You will build relationships, engage in ministry, and where the church is present, work alongside local leaders in:
- Evangelism and church planting
- Education and theological training
- Community development and compassion ministry
Join a family of workers who are responding to the call to go where the Gospel is not yet—and to make Jesus known among the nations.

Note: All of our global workers and volunteers—whether serving short-term or long-term—engage in raising a team of partners that support them with prayer and finances. We will work with you to establish a budget and provide you with training and coaching to ensure you are well resourced. This model allows more people to be sent and fosters meaningful partnership between those who give and those who go. Everyone has a part to play in God’s Mission.
