Celebrating Murray

Celebrating Murray

PAOC Mission Global’s Executive Director, Murray Cornelius and his wife Cindy, shared this testimony. Let’s lift our voices in praise to God and in faith for other Global Workers journeying with cancer.

Our journey began on April 9th when we were told that Murray had a cancerous tumour in his colon. By May 29 Murray was in hospital ready for surgery. The tumour, 25 lymph nodes and a foot and half of colon were removed. Due to some after surgery complications, he ended up spending 10 days in hospital.

Yesterday, June 18, we were informed that Murray is cancer free! All the biopsies were negative. Thank you, Jesus, for this tremendous gift.

We have been overwhelmed with God’s kindnesses in this journey. Our surgeon was a believer. The speed at which we went from diagnosis to surgery was incredible. And the medical expertise and care we received was amazing.

In honour of the excellent service from his doctors, nurses, and other healthcare practitioners at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, this year ‘Murray’s Ride to Thrive’ will raise funds to equip the surgical theatre at the Namoruputh Health Centre in northern Kenya. Details and links will be out soon.

Once again, thank you for your love and prayers. We are grateful for you and grateful to a faithful heavenly Father.

PRAISE God for His kindness in this journey, and for such a positive outcome.

PRAY for ongoing strengthening for Murray as he heals from surgery.

PRAY for several Global Workers currently battling cancer and other significant health issues such as Leila S, Rhonda L, Lynn S, Joy J, David C, Sarah K, Shelly B, Rita C, Mardie M and others.
