Answering the Call

Answering the Call

Planting Initiative

The Gospel is making its way through North India like never before.

In a region with over 900 million people, 90% of the population have not yet heard the name of Jesus. Our international partners, the Assemblies of God North India (AGNI), set a visionary goal to plant 200 churches over the next two years.

Through the training of over 800 Spirit-filled church planters eager to bring the Gospel to North India, the vision is becoming a reality. In 2024, through our PAOC churches and donors, we were able to support the AGNI by funding the successful planting of 50 new churches. As we step into 2025, the planting of an additional 42 house churches is already well underway.

At the heart of this movement is Pastor Vikram. Born into a Muslim family, Pastor Vikram came to faith in 2007 but was immediately rejected by his family. Yet, even in the face of such adversity, he felt a deep calling to bring Jesus to those who had never heard His name.

Over the past seven years, Pastor Vikram faced immense challenges—14 times his church was forced to move, driven out by opposition. Through faith, and the support of his congregation, they were able to purchase land, building a place of worship that now serves 35 believers. Many of them, coming from Hindu and Sikh backgrounds, have seen miracles unfold in their lives. One young couple who had long struggled with infertility now hold a brand-new baby in their arms—a testament to God’s love and power.

Pastor Vikram’s church is part of the church planting movement and planted other churches. A lady from his congregation now gathers 30 people each week in her village, expanding the reach of the Gospel even further. God is moving!
