Musahar Dalit

Musahar Dalit
About

The word “Dalit” means “broken, downtrodden, or oppressed”. Dalits are people born into families in the lowest rung of India’s rigid social system. 25% of India’s population or over 360 million Dalit men, women and children face normalized prejudice, abuse and oppression every day. Dalits also comprise a higher proportion of prison inmates. This prayer guide will focus on the group of Dalit called Musahar living in the province of Bihar.
