Serving Through Grief and Joy in Vanuatu

PAOC Global Workers in Vanuatu, Chelsea & Armin W-G, have demonstrated great resilience as they serve God in Vanuatu. They began serving alongside Chelsea’s parents yet her dad, David, passed away in 2022 and her mom, Julie, in 2023. Yet amid these great losses, Chelsea and Armin have been blessed with two new members to their family, eight-month-old, Benaiah and 19-year-old Samuel. God sees!

On the ministry side, Chelsea reports: We discipled and trained the young men in our Impact Ministry Skills Training Program full time beginning in 2022 and later completed the first boys’ dorm and the toilet block. Weekly bible studies, daily group devotionals, and Sunday services have been good times of learning and encouragement for the guys.

One of the young men has grown so much in faith and maturity and faith that he is stepping into more of a leadership role now, taking over some of the devotions and mentoring the younger guys. When he went back and visited his family, they were so surprised at who he had become and the leadership skills he had gained. Such joy in seeing what the Lord is doing in his life!

PRAY for this young leader as he moves into new leadership roles. May he see God at work in many dramatic ways to increase his faith.

PRAY God’s continued grace in their grief, and in their joy with the welcoming of Benaiah and Samuel into their family.

PRAY the Lord will use the Impact Ministry Skills Training Program to transform many young adults believing they have significant impact on their communities and nation.
