Muhamasheen in Qatar

Muhamasheen in Qatar

Pronounced: moo-ha-mah-SHEEN

Population: 249,000 in Qatar with 1.5 million globally

Overview: Muhamasheen people mostly live in big city slums in extreme poverty and discrimination. Men work as street sweepers, and women collect cans and bottles and beg. There is no justice for them, nor education for their children.

Ministry Obstacles: People who have known only severe poverty cannot easily see past their circumstances to a better future. Scripture portions are available in their language, as well as gospel films and recordings but it is difficult to get these to people in a Muslim country like Qatar.

Outreach Ideas: There is a need for every kind of practical help for this poverty-stricken, unreached people group. Followers of Christ can help them with both physical and spiritual needs.

PRAY the few Christian believers among the Muhamasheen people would let the light of the Holy Spirit shine bright.

PRAY for many to seek and find Almighty God, leading to a movement toward Christ.

PRAY for signs and wonders to confirm His Word.
