The unreached are not forgotten—they are simply waiting for the opportunity to hear the Good News. Prayer is the first step in breaking down barriers and paving the way for the Gospel to reach them.

Below you will find resources we've prepared to equip you or your congregation for the this year's International Day of Prayer for the Unreached.

Dear Pastors,

Fifty days after Jesus’ resurrection, the Holy Spirit was poured out. Jesus explained the purpose:  “You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8). That’s why the global church celebrates the Day of Pentecost along with the Day of the Unreached. Holy Spirit empowerment is for disciples to make disciples.

To support you in mobilizing your church to be fully engaged with the mission God has for each one (and for the church as a whole), PAOC Mission Global asked Glad Tidings Church (Burlington) to cast the vision. This video does just that.

Here’s the ask. Consider using this two-minute video on June 8th. You may want to preamble it with the biblical unpacking of the Day of Pentecost and its purpose. Follow-up the video with a pastoral prayer, or better yet, two or three members of your congregation asking God to help us bridge the gap through prayer.

Every one of us can pray. God’s heart is for those who have not yet heard that there is hope in Jesus. Let’s together close the gap on the one-third unreached who need to hear this message that we cherish.

Together, we can.
