 Step off the beaten path and venture into the Balkans to explore Kosovo—a country with a population of 1.8 million and fewer than 2,000 believers. This is a place deeply in need of Christ’s love and hope, where your presence can make a meaningful impact.  

As part of a team, you’ll partner with a local church mission to engage with a predominantly Muslim community that is warm and receptive to Western visitors and new ideas. The primary focus will be helping people learn conversational English in various settings and serve the community in ways that may require physical exertion. 

This trip is an invitation to explore how your unique gifts and passions can serve in this context, while gaining insights into God’s work around the world. You’ll also experience the renowned hospitality of Kosovars and, possibly, build lifelong connections.  

Qualifications

  • Committed follower of Christ for more than two years  
  • Active in a local church/ministry for more than one year  
  • Must have reached the age of majority of your province  
  • Citizen or resident of Canada  
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances  
  • Ability to serve into a team and vision 
  • Ability to handle climate and cultural differences with a teachable and gracious spirit
